George Moreau Genealogy Search: George Alfred Moreau 1906??

We are looking for any information on my husband's father...George Alfred Moreau. He passed away when my husband....Ronald Alfred Moreau....was 5 yrs old. George claimed he was born in the Ottawa Valley in Ontario on November 15, 1906. His 1940 stats registration claims he was from Ottawa/Quebec. He left home at a young age after having a fight with his parents and apparently never returned. He also claimed he had a sister who played piano and a brother. His father was either George Alfred or Alfred George and his mother was laura Jean or Laura, first name and Jean, last name. Both were born in Quebec, Canada. He worked in as a cook most of his life. In a Sudbury, Ontario mine, and a Beardmore, Ontario mine as a cook. He also worked for Jack McKirdy at his bush camp in Beardmore, Ontario as a cook. He worked for a lumber camp in Jackfish, Ontario, Abitibi and Canada Car (now Bombardier) in Fort William (now Thunder Bay). He was Catholic and spoke both English and French and wrote songs.
