Granted, it still has an ad window at the bottom of the screen, but it's so small that it's really insignificant. We also made the text size bigger, and divided up the variable categories into tabs for easier navigation.
Honestly I don't know much about structural engineering to be able to explain how the math works. But in essence, Wood Beam Sizing App takes several parameters like beam size, deflection, stress and loading, and outputs whether or not the beam has the specifications to be structurally sound. It's invaluable for engineers, architects, contractors, and even students while at a job site.
We just made an update to provide for preset wood types, in order to speed up the calculations.
