Whirlpool Corporation Chills Competition in the Kitchen

In all, 150 refrigerators were tested, leading to top ratings for the Whirlpool, Amana and Jenn-Air brands.

The Whirlpool® French door bottom mount refrigerator (GX5FHTXV) was rated No. 1 (and a best buy) in its respective category. In the conventional bottom freezer category, Whirlpool Corporation dominated the ratings with the top three of four ratings going to Whirlpool brand (GB2FHDXW – No. 1) and Amana brand (ABB2221WE – No. 2, ABB1921WE – No. 4) for  combining superior temperature performance with energy efficiency. The Jenn-Air® side-by-side built-in refrigerator (JS42PPDUDB) was rated No.1 based on excellent performance and efficiency. The Whirlpool® side-by-side refrigerator (GS5VHAXW) was rated No. 2 in the side-by-side category with a nod to the refrigerator's excellent temperature performance and efficiency.

Additionally, Whirlpool Corporation's brands received high marks in the cleaning category. Dishwasher testing resulted in solid ratings for KitchenAid, Whirlpool, Maytag and Jenn-Air brands, with two Whirlpool brand models (GU2300XTV) and (DU1055XTV) recommended as best buys.

KitchenAid brand dishwasher (KUDE7OCV) was rated No. 2 in the conventional dishwasher category. When it comes to dish drawers, Whirlpool Corporation cleaned up with KitchenAid (KUDD03DT), Maytag (MDD8000AW) and Jenn-Air (JDD4000AW) brands capturing the No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 spots respectively.

Whirlpool Corporation brands were also recognized in the cooking category for excellent ranges and microwave oven performance.

KitchenAid brand ranges were No. 1 in both the 30-inch dual fuel and 36-inch dual fuel categories with KitchenAid (KDR5505X) and KitchenAid (KDRU763VS5) respectively. Whirlpool brand received best buy ratings with the 30-inch electric smoothtop (G7CE3034X) category and 30-inch induction cooktop (GCI3061X), as well as the over-the-range microwave in the 30-inch (WMH1163XV) category, offering the best performance at the price point. in 2010, 71,000 employees, and 66 manufacturing and technology research centers around the world. If you see “Jenn-Air gas grill” presented throughout the web, in your local newspaper or on the telly, you may well be surprised to find out that the Jenn-Air corporation doesn’t even produce propane gas grills. Jenn-Air produces a long collection of interior cooktops which you’re sure to be acquainted, but gas grills? Not at all.

What has happened with the Jenn-Air gas barbecue grill issue is the fact that the corporation has accredited its name to Lowe’s – the big-box retailer everybody knows about and unquestionably has one either in their town or close to their town. The advertised grills with the Jenn-Air name with them actually are derived from China and so are made by a company referred to as “Nexgrill.”

Yet another thing having a Jenn-Air gas barbq grill is that you may only find them at Lowe’s – unless you get lucky on eBay, your local classified newspaper adverts, or a garage sale.

The Jenn-Air gas barbecue grill currently available at Lowe’s appears like a sturdy, well-built device. It’s available in 3 dimensions due to its outdoor designs and it is available in five built-in indoor designs. At 45,000, 48,000, and 60,000 BTUs in the outdoor grills and 48,000, 68,000, and 98,000 BTUS for indoor types, there appears to be a Jenn-Air gas barbecue grill to fit anyone.

Lowe’s Jenn-Air gas barbecue grill boasts stainless design, solid-cast steel burners, and nicely sized cooking areas – areas to consider when you’re getting a grill with longevity in mind. But for those goodies, be prepared to spend anywhere from $649 to more than $1,000 for your Lowe’s Jenn-Air gas barbecue grill.

With that said, it could do you nicely to consider alternatives to the Jenn-Air gas barbecue grill. Like maybe a simple, old-fashioned charcoal grill by Weber for under 100 bucks?

Whether or not you select a Jenn-Air gas barbecue grill to show-off your outdoor cooking abilities, remember: There are plenty of fish in the sea – and plenty of outdoor gas grills that you can buy. Choose smartly.
